Have you already crossed paths?
Crosspath shows where and when you and your friends were close to each other — years before you met. It uses only the location and date stored in your photos, and never uploads a single image.

You were about 400 m apart2 years before you met
Can you really tell if you crossed paths with someone?
Yes — if you both have geotagged photos. Almost every smartphone photo stores GPS coordinates and the capture time. When two people compare those points, “near misses” appear: the same concert, the same airport, the same street a day apart. Crosspath does this comparison automatically on your Android phone: it groups photos into trips, compares trips with a friend who shared a code with you, and labels every match as strong crossing, same place, same district or same city, with a confidence score. It shows likely proximity, not proof of a meeting.
Three steps. About three minutes.
Scan on your phone
Crosspath reads only latitude, longitude and date from your photos, then groups them into trips — 50 photos from one weekend count as one visit, not 50.
Swap codes with a friend
Share your Crosspath code in any messenger. It holds rounded points (≈200 m) and dates — no pictures, no addresses, no contacts.
Watch paths converge
See every crossing on a night map and replay it in Time Tunnel: two lines meet over the city where you almost met.
Four levels of “we were close”
Every result says how sure it is. Low-confidence matches are shown only at city level.
| Level | Distance | Time window | What you see |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strong crossing | ≤ 150 m | ≤ 24 h | “Almost met” story, distance range |
| Same place | ≤ 500 m | ≤ 36 h | Place type, date without exact time |
| Same district | ≤ 3 km | ≤ 7 days | District, wide time window |
| Same city | ≤ 25 km | ≤ 30 days | City, month and year |
Confidence = 0.55 × distance + 0.35 × time + 0.10 × evidence (photo count, GPS quality). Below 0.30 nothing is shown.
Made to make you say “no way”
🗺️ Your night map
All your trips as glowing points on a minimal dark map, plus a swipeable timeline. Tap a trip to fly to it.
⚡ Time Tunnel
A cinematic replay of one crossing: city, month, approximate distance, and “this happened 2 years before you met”.
✦ Constellation
Your people orbit around you. The more crossings, the brighter the star. Add a friend with one code.
📊 Your world in numbers
Trips, cities, countries, your most “crossed” city and how confident each match is — with clear data limits.
Your photos stay yours
No uploads
Images, faces and albums are never read or sent. Only coordinates and dates are used — on the phone.
Mutual only
Nobody can find you. Crossings exist only between two people who deliberately exchanged codes.
You’re in control
Pause comparison, limit results to city level, remove a friend or wipe everything in one tap. No background location.

Questions people ask
How can I find out if I crossed paths with someone before we met?
Compare where and when you both took photos. Most phone photos store GPS coordinates and a timestamp (EXIF). Crosspath reads only that metadata on each phone, groups photos into trips, and compares the trips of two people who exchanged codes. If you were in the same city, district or place at around the same time, it shows the crossing with a confidence level.
Does Crosspath upload my photos?
No. Photos never leave the phone. The app reads only latitude, longitude and capture time from photo metadata. There is no server: comparison happens on the device, using a code your friend sends you that contains rounded (about 200 m) points and dates — no images, no names of places you did not visit together.
Is Crosspath free?
Yes. Scanning, the personal map, adding friends by code and Time Tunnel stories are free. An optional Crosspath+ subscription adds extra precision levels, group constellations and exports without a watermark.
How accurate are the crossings?
Every crossing has a level and a confidence score. Strong crossing: within about 150 m and 24 hours. Same place: within 500 m and 36 hours. Same district: within 3 km and 7 days. Same city: within 25 km and 30 days. Confidence = 0.55 × distance score + 0.35 × time score + 0.10 × evidence score. A crossing means your photos were close — it does not prove you actually met.
Can someone track me with Crosspath?
No. There is no background location tracking, no public map and no search by phone number. A person sees crossings with you only if you personally sent them your code, and you can pause comparison, restrict results to city level, remove a friend or delete all data at any time.
What if my photos have no location?
Crossings need geotagged photos. Turn on “Save location” in your camera app for new photos. Photos received in messengers usually have location stripped. You can try the app with built-in demo data first.
Is there an iPhone version?
Crosspath is built for Android 10 and newer. Codes are plain text, so the format is ready for other platforms later.
What is Time Tunnel?
An animated story of one crossing: two lines — your path and your friend’s — converge at one point, then show the city, month and approximate distance, and how long before you met it happened. You can share it as a card.
